Terms & conditions

How a service is agreed, how fees are confirmed, and what happens if plans change.

Who we are

These terms apply to services provided by McAvoy and Muir Ltd (Company No. SC850310), registered in Scotland.

Services and confirmation

An enquiry through this site is a request for information or for a viewing, not a confirmed order. A service begins only when we have agreed what it covers, the fees and the timing with you in writing — normally by email — and you have confirmed it.

Prices and fees

All fees are quoted in euro (€) and are confirmed with you in writing before any work starts. Commission and fee arrangements are agreed in writing; nothing on this site is a quotation for a specific transaction.

Viewings and appointments

Viewings are arranged with owners or agents and can be changed or cancelled by any party for availability reasons. If you need to change an appointment, tell us as early as you can and we will rearrange it.

Cancellation, changes and refunds

If you need to cancel or change a viewing or an engagement, tell us as early as you can so we can rearrange it where possible. Where a fee has been paid and the service has not yet been provided, we will refund that fee in full. Where work has already begun when you cancel, we will confirm in writing what has already been done and any refund due before it is completed.

What we do not promise

We assist with the search, viewing and purchase or rental process. We do not promise or guarantee a sale, a purchase, a tenancy or a particular price, and our guidance is not legal, tax or financial advice.

Liability

We carry out our services with reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Complaints

If something is not right, contact us first at info@mcavoy-muir.com or +44 7588 245912 and we will try to resolve it directly.

Governing law

Our registered company is established in Scotland; these terms are governed by the law that applies to that registration. Nothing here sets a different jurisdiction for a client without a separate written agreement.
